Greed. The relentless hunger for power and control. The obsession with self-interest, with no regard for how one’s decisions can harm others. That bothers me deeply.
What’s worse is when these decisions hurt the most vulnerable among us – our children. I cannot fathom making educational decisions that knowingly damage a child’s physical, mental, or emotional well-being. Yet here we are, debating whether kids deserve access to free and reduced lunch. Watching essential learning and instruction be withheld from those who need it most.
I could go on and on. But yes – this is what bothers me.
